Arsenal have reportedly sent a private jet to Spain to bring Benzema to the Emirates.
The Frenchman could be unveiled as early as Tuesday night.
Odds have already been massively slashed on the Frenchman moving to the Emirates, and it now appears that the deal has moved a step closer.
The news broke through Italian Journalist Emanuele Giulianelli on twitter.
He said: “Arsenal are believed to have rented a Gulfstream private jet to accommodate Benzema on Sunday evening.”
A second tweet from Giulianelli claimed that a medical was already booked for the Frenchman:
“He will have a medical Monday early afternoon and be confirmed just before kick off. He will stay in 5 stars hotel London centre.”
However, although Benzema seems more and more likely to be leaving Madrid, there is no guarantee that Arsenal will be his destination.
Officials at Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the situation, and are prepared to try and hijack the move if the 27-year-old becomes available.
