According to sources, Arsenal are said to be in pursuit of Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, and are leading the race for his signature.
The Gunners are seemingly keen on re-signing the 23-year-old this summer, four years after he left the club for whom he made just two appearances in his first spell in London.
However, this could simply be just a rumour, as Arsenal are certainly not short of any midfield options after signing Granit Xhaka earlier in the summer and welcoming Santi Cazorla back from a long-term injury.
Despite this, Arsene Wenger may feel he needs to bring in more personnel in that area after losing Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky at the end of last season.
Ozyakup has shone in his time in Turkey, and Milliyet claim Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also among his admirers in this transfer window.
However, additional information from Gazzetta dello Sport suggests he might favour a return to the Emirates Stadium if he is to leave Besiktas this summer.
