Arsenal Remove Tribute To Former Player

After rejecting he chance to bring Cesc Fabregas back to the club, Arsenal seemed to be taking their ex-captain’s switch to bitter rivals Chelsea pretty well.

But today they have opted to remove a tribute to the Spaniard that overlooked the Ken Friar Bridge outside of the Emirates Stadium.

The banner remained in place even when the World Cup winner forced his move back to boyhood club Barcelona in 2011, but it appears that joining the Blues is a bridge too far (excuse the pun!).

Although the club haven’t confirmed that it’s a direct response to Fabregas’ new home, it all seems a little too orchestrated to be a coincidence…
