Arsenal are set to lure Dortmund defender Sokratis in a £15 million fee, after upping their offer in recent days, reports the Metro.
Sokratis was subject of a £10 million bid last week, which was turned down by the German Bundesliga club, who are keen to keep their Greek defender.
The fully capped Greece international, aged 26 is set to push through the transfer before Monday’s deadline, should Borussia reject Arsenal’s improved offer.
Sokratis made 28 appearances for Dortmund last season, having signed from fellow Bundesliga club Weder Breman in the summer of 2013.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to land the prized defender, following the departure of Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona in a £15 million fee last month.
