Following Juventus’ 3-0 win over League rivals AS Roma, they now sit top of Serie A, 8 points clear. And amongst those who are recognised as one of Europe’s finest talents but cannot break the first team is Martin Caceres.
Caceres, despite being only 26, has already played for some of the best clubs Europe such as Barcelona, Sevilla, Villareal, and currently Juventus. But he has been the subject of many transfer rumours after making just 2 league appearances this season, and only 20 since joining the Turin side in January 2012.
Caceres was linked with a move to Arsenal last summer but the deal fell through, but it is reported that the Gunners, who sit top of the Premier League, will be keen to make another bid.
Arsenal have struggled with injuries to key defenders this season, so they will be keen to land another centre-half, even for a loan deal.
