Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has revealed that he has no intentions of leaving Spain, despite heavy interest from Premier League side Arsenal.

Reports broke earlier this morning that Arsenal officials were flying over to Spain in order to hold talks with Madrid officials about a potential transfer of Benzema, and with the Spanish giants preparing mega-bids for either Sergio Aguero or Luis Suarez, The Gunners are confident they can strike a deal.

Benzema is about to enter the final year of his contract, and the Premier League side are willing to pay ÂŁ25million for the Frenchman, but despite the numerous reports linking with Madrid making a mega-signing up-front, the 26-year-old has claimed he is ‘at home’ in Madrid and doesn’t want to leave.

“I feel at home in Madrid. I am really at ease.

“Playing at Real Madrid is a joy and fills me with pride because it is the greatest club in the world and also because I have come through some difficult moments in my five years here.”
