Atletico Madrid have put a spanner in the works of Chelsea’s transfer plans, by stating that defender Filipe Luis will not be sold at any price.
Chelsea have stated their intentions to sign the highly rated defender, though Atletico have seemed to say that he is not for sale.
Luis was a pivotal part in Atletico’s title winning campaign, and helped the side reach the European Cup final.
Luis agent Garcia Quilon has stated that Chelsea will have to look elsewhere.
‘The interest is there, but Atletico will not sell,’ he said.
‘They are determined to keep much of the block for next season. We’ll see what is happening with different players, but the intention is not to sell to anyone.’
