Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he will dig into the transfer market this summer yet again if Thomas Vermaelen happens to leave the club. According to reports in Spain, the Gunners will turn to Real Madrid veteran Alvaro Arbeloa first if the Belgian international decides to depart from The Emirates.
The 31-year-old predominately plays as a right-back, but is able to play in the centre of defence aswell. Real Madrid have told the Spaniard that he can leave this summer and while most reports haven’t suggested a fee, it is believed that he’ll be availble on the cheap.
