Arsenal to axe FOUR over Summer

Arsenal are preparing to sell four first-team players over the Summer as Arsene Wenger gets ready to make a few changes around the Emirates Stadium.

Defender Per Mertesacker and midfield trio Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and About Diaby, are all expected to leave the club at the end of the season, with three of them set to leave on a free transfer.

The trio of midfield players are all set to leave on a free as their contracts expire this Summer, and despite Wenger talking up potential deals for Arteta and Diaby, as it stands, nothing formal has been agreed.

As for Mertesacker, a torrid season at centre-back could be completed by a move away with Gabriel Paulista brought in in January to replace him long-term.

Wenger will then look to sign a new midfielder and possibly a new centre-back as well.
