Arsenal are interested in Manchester City centre-back Matija Nastasic- if Thomas Vermaelan leaves the club this summer.
Arsene Wenger will be on the lookout for a new centre-back if captain Vermaelan leaves for Manchester United, and Nastasic is on the top of his list. The Serbian was watched extensively by Arsenal scouts during his time at Fiorentina, but City moved fast in 2012 to snap him up. However despite missing out, the Gunners remain interested in the defender and could move for him this summer.
Nastasic’s future at the Etihad appears unclear at the moment due to the possible arrival of Eliaquim Mangala from FC Porto.
Roma are also interested in Nastasic, 21, who is valued at around £16million.
