Arsenal are set to launch the first move for Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, by offering the Spanish giants £40million.
The Frenchman, who has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for the past few seasons, has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium before, but nothing formal has come from the interest.
However, Arsene Wenger is finally ready to launch a formal move for the striker and could offer £40m in order to land the Frenchman.
Benzema, who is also wanted by Liverpool, is keen on facing a new challenge in his career and could be set to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season, despite being a first-team regular, and it’s believed a move to England is his first-choice.
As it stands, Madrid are reluctant to do a deal without a suitable replacement lined up, however, the relationship between Arsenal and Madrid could make any potential deal a lot easier and smoother.
