Martial has been linked with a move away this summer

Anthony Martial was one of the outstanding players for Manchester United in the earlier stages of the season. But since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, the Frenchman has struggled for a regular run in the team.

Martial since then has been linked to many clubs and is expected to moved on by Jose Mourinho when the transfer window opens.

Arsenal are one of the clubs linked with the 22 year old. The Gunners are expected to overhaul their squad this summer after another disappointing season and could move for the Forward who is a proven Premier League performer and has the potential to be the best.

But former Arsenal player Perry Groves has warned off a move for Martial as he urges the club to avoid anyone deemed not good for Manchester United.

The Gunners cult hero told Sportingbet: “Anthony Martial is a quality player but I don’t want Arsenal to sign him this summer.

“Martial isn’t a priority for us because we have enough players going forward in those areas.

“He isn’t deemed good enough for Manchester United so I don’t want him at Arsenal.

“Arsenal’s priority needs to be a new goalkeeper, a new central defender and a very strong defensive midfielder, but that’s been the case for five or six years now.”
