Costa Rican is wanted by Palermo
Arsenal are holding out for £7million for winger Joel Campbell, all-but ending Serie A side Palermo’s interest.
The Italian outfit were believed to be interested in the Costa Rican international, but were put off the deal when Arsenal asked for around £7m.
Campbell has failed to impress at the Emirates Stadium, despite an impressive loan spell at Olympiakos and an impressive World Cup in Brazil last summer.
Loan Spell/Palermo Interest
The winger was sent out on loan yet again last season to La Liga side Villarreal, but Arsene Wenger is ready to sell him permanently now after he’s not been impressed with the 23-year-old.
According to reports in Italy, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini, flew over to London in order to hold talks with Arsenal officials and made an offer for Campbell worth £4m.
However, The Gunners want £3m more than that for the winger and won’t accept anything under.
Palermo may come back with an increased but but it doesn’t look like it will be around £7m.
