Arsenal warned to act in order to sign Chelsea’s veteran keeper!

Arsenal have been informed that they will have to act quickly in order to compete a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the Daily Mail.

The 32-year-old is set to depart Stamford Bridge this summer after eleven-years, having lost his place in the Chelsea line-up to Thilbaut Courtois.

Several of Europe’s top sides’ are now keeping close tabs on events regarding the Czech Republic international, who is likely to review his position at the club once the season has concluded, with Cech set to ask Jose Mourinho for a transfer away from West London.

It is understood that Chelsea would rather cash in on their long-standing veteran keeper, rather then see him depart on a free-transfer in the summer of 2016.

Despite being the number one at the club for over a decade, the emergence of Belgian international Courtois has seen Cech limited to 16 games for his club side this season, most of them coming in the League, and European Cup respectively.

And his new destination could potentially be only a few miles down the road, north London to be precise, with Arsenal set to confirm their interest in the Blues keeper.

GUNNERS NEED TO ACT

The Daily Mail claim that Cech wants his future decided early in the summer, so he can get a full pre-season at his club, whoever that may be, as Arsenal have been told that they can’t afford to wait on the signing, with Liverpool, PSG, Roma and Inter Milan all keen on Cech, who is expected to cost around ÂŁ10 million for his services.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to add depth to his goalkeeping department, with  Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina the only two senior shot-stoppers at the Emirates Stadium.
