Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that German international, Lukas Podolski, will stay at the club this Summer.

Recent reports had linked the forward with a move away from the Emirates Stadium, with Juventus and Wolfsburg both interested, but after a serious injury suffered to Olivier Giroud, it appears that the German will now be staying in North London.

Wenger, who faced the press today ahead of their crunch tie with Besiktas tomorrow, was asked about Giroud’s injury, and the Frenchman admitted that he has no idea how long he will be out for.

The Gunners boss was then asked about Podolski, and he was adamant that the 29-year-old will be staying this Summer, and will be included in the squad tomorrow, despite being excluded from Saturday’s against Everton.

‘Podolski is in the squad tomorrow [for visit of Besiktas] and will stay with us.’
