Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could be lining up a shock bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez after the Mexican is still struggling to get games for the English champions.
Wenger and spoken directly to his scouting team about ‘Little Pea’ and he believes he could be the perfect option to help out current striker Olivier Giroud, who they fear could become fatigued after the amount of games he has played.
The French target-man is the only recognised striker left at the club, apart from Nicklas Bendtner, and Wenger is desperate to land another clinical finisher in January so that it adds depth to his already strong squad.
Hernandez has been on the fringe of the United squad ever since joining them and things haven’t changed under David Moyes as the 25-year-old is still behind the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Danny Welbeck.
Speculation about the striker’s future has been high over the past week after he re-tweeted a message suggesting that he should move on, and it now looks like he is emerging as a surprise target from Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.
