Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is heavily interested in West Ham United defender Winston Reid and could possibly make a formal bid for him in January.
The 25-year-old defender has been impressive so far this season for The Hammers, and with Wenger keen to add depth to his back-line, he could be the next man to join the North London club.
With only Thomas Vermaelen, Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny as their only recognised centre-backs, Arsenal are lacking the depth that is needed to challenge for the title and Wenger believes Reid could be the right addition to his side.
The interest in Reid has come since Wenger was quoted £10million by Swansea City for Ashley Williams.
