Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he has no intentions of writing a book, but insists that he won’t rule it out completely.

The headlines have been stolen by Harry Redknapp and recently Sir Alex Ferguson this week after they both released books about their life and about their footballing career.

In a previous interview, Wenger admitted that he was nervous about what Ferguson would write about him, but the Frenchman believes he has all the right to write about his life, but he doesn’t think that’s something he’d do.

“The past is history and history has to be written,” he said. “In France we say it is not only important to make history, but also to write the history. It is good.

“It is a legacy of his career. I think that is important, especially in England where he was a manager at Manchester United for 27 years. It is huge what he has achieved, but it is difficult for me to answer anything on the book because I have not read it.

“No [I have no plans to write a book]. Well, I say no at the moment – maybe one day I will be inspired to do that, but at the moment I do not. I do not say never, but at the moment I do not have that need at all.”
