Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is disappointed with his side’s 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund last night in the Champions League, and the Frenchman believes it will be a tough-ask to qualify for the knockout stages with three teams all joint top on six points.
The Gunners will now battle it out with Napoli and Borussia Dortmund for the two qualification spots, but unfortunately for Wenger’s side, they will have to go to both Italy and Germany and may have to pick up results there, which will not be easy.
After last night’s 2-1 home defeat to the German giant, Arsene Wenger claimed his players were too naive.
“We put ourselves on the back foot with the first goal and were naive for the second,” Wenger said.
“Look at how many saves our goalkeeper has had to make and we have conceded two goals.
“We can only look at ourselves as not being mature enough in those situations. If you can’t win the game, don’t lose it.”
