Board want to reward Frenchman with new long-term deal

Arsenal Football Club are set to offer Arsene Wenger a new long-term deal, keeping him at the club until 2019.

The Frenchman’s current deal expires next summer, but after winning back-to-back FA Cups and guiding them to the top of the Premier League so far this season, the board are ready to offer him a new deal.

Despite his age and despite some fans calling for a change at the Emirates Stadium, the board are ready to offer him a new deal and will offer him a two-year extension onto his current contract.

Wenger has made no comments about his future in recent weeks and is only focusing on the performances on the pitch, but with a two-year extension on the table, he may extend his stay in North London.

Talks Set for End of Season

As of yet, nothing formal has come out from the club because they don’t want any distractions, but it’s believed Wenger is aware of the intentions to offer him an extension and they want to begin formal talks after the season ends.

If a new deal is signed, it will see Wenger stay at Arsenal for 23-years.
