Arsene Wenger wants Juventus striker on-loan

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is tempted to make a loan-move for Juventus’ Fernando Llorente in January, so that he has back-up for Olivier Giroud just in case he suffers an injury near the business end of the season.

So far, the 2013/2014 campaign has been nice to Wenger and The Gunners as they sit top of the Premier League as well as top of their tough Champions League group, but he still has fears over squad depth.

Currently, Giroud is the only fit recognised striker at the Emirates Stadium and with that in mind, Wenger is desperate to land another striker and he has sent his scouting team out to watch Llorente as the Spaniard eyes first-team football ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

However, the 28-year-old is not currently getting a lot of first-team in Italy and a loan-move to England may suit him.
