Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is desperate for his side to repsond in the right way when his side face Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium next Monday.
The Gunners suffered their third loss of the Premier League campaign on Saturday as they were thrashed by Manchester City 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium, which saw their lead at the table get cut to just two points.
They will now have a week to prepare themselves for another massive clash against Jose Mourinho’s side on Monday, and Wenger is keen for his side to respond in the right manner.
“If we cannot pick ourselves up by being top of the league what will happen if we are not top of the league?” Wenger said. “Let’s not go overboard, it’s a massive disappointment because we have lost a big game.
“But not matter what happens over the weekend we’ll still be top of the league and what is important now is how we respond to that.
“It’s not the end of the world but it’s a big disappointment,” he added. “When you come into a big game everybody wants to play.
“You have an opportunity to show how good you are and when you don’t do it, it’s a disappointment.”
