Arsenal are planning to submit a summer transfer offer for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, according to reports in Spain.
Illarramendi has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Madrid, since signing in a £30 million fee from Real Sociedad in the July of 2013.
And the Spaniard, aged 24, looks certain to leave the European Cup holders, with Arsenal leading the que, with Marca reporting that the Gunners are seeking a £24 million transfer deal.
The same publication also suggest that Arsenal have offered Illarramendi a deal in the summer, with Real Madrid having no plans to let their midfielder leave in the January window.
