Aston Villa have become the latest club to enquire about Liverpool forward Rickie Lambert.
The striker has been linked with a host of clubs ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline. Stoke City, Crystal Palace, Hull City and QPR have all reportedly asked the Anfield club about Lambert.
But it seems increasingly likely that he will not be leaving, at least in this window. Liverpool have shown ‘no signs’ that they are interested in a deal.
Villa have been terrible in front of goal recently, not scoring in the Premier League since 20th December.
Lambert joined Liverpool last summer from Southampton for £4m.
