Atletico Madrid are set to ask their striker Diego Costa to delay his move to Chelsea until the summer of 2015.
The West London club had presumably tied up a deal to bring the highly rated striker in to the club this summer.
However in a swift turn of events, Atletico boss Diego Simeone has pleaded with his star studded centre forward to delay his pending move to Madrid until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
Simeone’s plan is to keep Costa for another year, to build upon the squad.
The Spain international has been in red hot formfor his club this season, scoring 26 La Liga goals, and helping Madrid to a Champions League final.
