AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has admitted he would like to play for Mourinho once again. The pair were together at Inter Milan before Balotelli left for Manchester City in 2010 and during their time together at Inter Milan they did not always see eye-to-eye and were invloved in a number of confrontations.

He told the Mail on Sunday, “Of course I would like to play under Jose again. In my first days at Inter we had some problems, but then it turned into a mutual respect, and now we have a real friendship”.

AC Milan’s position in Serie A makes it all the more possible that Balotelli could be reunited with Mourinho. They currently sit in 11th position in the league and that brings the prospect of no Champions League football next season and none of the added revenue that comes with Champions League football. So that could mean that AC Milan would be willing to cash in on the 23 year old and with Chelsea looking in need of a new striker, they could be enticed to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge.

But if an approach looks was to be made for the Italian by Chelsea then it would be more likely to come in the summer as Mourinho has recently admitted that he does not intend to buy a striker in the January transfer window.

Balotelli added, “It is never boring playing under Jose. When you are in Mourinho’s team it is a family and he coaches on the principle that if all is well with the family it doesn’t matter what is going on outside the team”.
