Highly rated Spanish defender, Gerard Pique, may be returning to English soil. The former Manchester United star is again on the radar of the Old Trafford club, as well as Chelsea.
Surprisingly, the 27-year-old, two time Champions League winner has fallen out of favour at Barcelona and may be open to a move back across the channel.
Chelsea will be looking to find a long-term replacement for veteran John Terry, whilst United have well documented frailties at the back this season.
FIFA agent Francois Gallardo has commented that Pique could end up at either English club.
He told Neox, a Spanish TV channel: ‘The player is angry and Barca are open to his departure.
‘He could end up at Manchester United or Chelsea.’
Pique has won the Premier League, Champions League (twice), The World Cup, and the European Championship……need I go on? This guy is quality, and irrespective of his previous time in the North-West of England, he had grown onto the world stage, and £20million seems like good value to me.
