It appears Fabio Coentrao is no longer required by Spanish giants, Real Madrid, and Manchester United are interested.
Two summers ago, the Red Devils had a deadline day bid accepted, only for the deal to eventually collapse. Now it looks likely that a £27million bid could well be succesful.
Still only 26, the Portuguese international full-back, seems to have been around for much longer, and will certainly have a lot to offer any potential employer. He could be just the ticket for Louis van Gaal, in his bid to bolster his much-maligned defence. Luke Shaw will have serious competiton at left-back if this move comes to pass.
A Champions League winner with Real, Coentrao can surely pick his options carefully, however a move to Old Trafford could happen as soon as January.
