Goalkeeper deal plunges Hart’s future into doubt

Barcelona have accepted a £21.7million bid from Manchester City for goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

City made the bid over the last couple of days after Joe Hart was dropped by Pep Guardiola for the club’s opening Premier League game at home to Sunderland on Saturday.

Many now suspect that Hart’s City career is over, and Bravo is a direct replacement for the England international. He’s been linked with a move to Everton or Sevilla.

It’s thought that Barcelona have decided that their future lies with Marc Andre ter Stegen, 24, rather than the 33-year-old Bravo.

The Chilean is expected to travel to Manchester on Thursday with a deal to be finalised before the weekend.
