Bayern Munich are keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min. The Bavarian giants were eager to sign Son earlier this year when he was playing at the Asian Games for South Korea.
And according to Calciomercato, Bayern have reignited their interest in the South Korean winger. Bayern are going through a tough phase this season as they are 5th in the Bundesliga table, 9 points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund. Barring Robert Lewandowski, none of the Bayern attackers have contributed much in goals.
Bayern have some really good wingers in their team but some like Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are in the twilight of their careers. Hence, the club needs a winger. Son Heung-min is a good option for the club currently.
The South Korean winger scored his first Premier League goal since March by scoring a screamer against Chelsea on Saturday. The 26-year old now has three goals and two assists from 14 appearances this season.
Son’s current contract expires in 2023. Going to Bayern Munich may guarantee Son silverware and he has also played a good amount of his career in Germany. However, the way Spurs have performed in the last few years, there’s no doubt they’ll win a trophy soon. Besides, Tottenham will certainly not want to sell him given how important he has been for the club.
