Wales international Ben Davies is expected to complete a move to Tottenham this week after leaving the Swansea pre-season tour to have a medical.
The left-back has been heavily linked with a switch to White Hart Lane recently, with new boss Mauricio Pochettino unconvinced by current first choice Danny Rose. Liverpool were also in the running but it is now thought that a ÂŁ10million fee has been agreed between Spurs and Swansea, meaning London is likely to be Davies’ destination.
Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson – who has looked to be heading for Crystal Palace – could move back to the Liberty Stadium as part of a swap deal.
The Iclander spent the 2011/12 season on loan in south Wales and looks likely to return after being withdrawn from Spurs’ line-up to face Seattle Sounders last night.
Pochettino is yet to make any reinforcements this summer and has admitted he doesn’t expect to spend big like Andre Villas-Boas did a year ago.
