Bernardo Silva Hopes Manchester City Can Defend Their Titles For Years

Bernardo Silva insists Manchester City need to start defending their titles successfully.

City will face a beleaguered Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final who are in the dire need of positivity in this time. Their recent on-field struggle has become quite evident.

Added to that, the club has been banned from transfer dealing for the next two transfer windows after FIFA found themselves guilty of breaching regulations regarding the transfers of players aged 18.

City’s hopes of winning a quadruple could initiate on Sunday. The Sky Blues are also very well placed in the Premier League having reclaimed the top position from Liverpool although the latter has a match in their hand.

Silva said, “That is one of our main goals – not only winning it once but to keep winning and winning.

“We know we have the squad to do that but our opponents are very strong and it won’t be an easy job. We will do our best to try.”

Chelsea also had to taste their worst ever defeat off late at the hands of Manchester City in the Premier  League.

Silva added, “To be honest we should forget that match because it won’t happen again. We are not expecting the same result

“We are playing against one of the best sides in the world, even though lately their results are not the best for them.

“Against those kinds of players you can never relax, and if you give them time to think, time to play and time to decide they will destroy you. So, we have to play with the same intensity and try to win another trophy.”
