Arsene Wenger confirms they’re not on the case as of yet

Arsenal have become the first club to publicly rule themselves out of the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Arsene Wenger was asked in his press-conference this morning whether he was interested in the Swedish international, with him set to become a free agent in the summer.

Ibrahimovic has confirmed he is leaving PSG at the end of the season, and has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with signing the 34-year-old, but as of yet, it now looks like it’s a two-horse race.

Wenger Rules Out Zlatan Bid

Wenger was asked about whether he would be interested in signing the striker, and he replied: “At the moment no we are not on that case. Where we are at the moment is short term.

“We are not on Zlatan’s case.

“At the moment my priority is not to go in the transfer market about possible signings.

“We are not at the moment thinking of signing anybody.”
