Defender pens new three-year deal at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea Football Club have announced that Tomas Kalas has signed a three-year deal at the club.
The 22-year-old is another youngster that has left Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan after he joined Championship side Middlesbrough last week, but before leaving, he agreed to a three-year deal.
The centre-back signed for Chelsea back in 2011 but has spent most of his time out on loan, with a spell at Vitesse Arnhem impressing Jose Mourinho.
Debuts
Kalas made his Chelsea debut when he came on as a substitute during a Capital One Cup game against Arsenal back in 2013.
He then had to wait until 2014 until he made his full starting debut when he played against Liverpool in the Premier League. The Blues won that game 2-0 and Kalas was impressive alongside Branislav Ivanovic at the heart of the defence.
