Chelsea defender suffered horrific knee injury during yesterday’s 1-1 draw
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is likely to be out of action for up to six months after suffering a nasty knee injury during yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The powerful centre-back landed awkwardly after heading a ball away for the Blues at Stamford Bridge yesterday, and upon his landing his knee jarred into the ground, leaving him screaming in agony on the pitch.
The damage to Zouma has been confirmed by Chelsea and they’ve revealed that he sustained an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament.
The Frenchman will have surgery in the next 48-hours and will be sidelined for around six months.
Zouma will now miss the remainder of the season and also the European Championships.
