Brendan Rodgers isn’t surprised to see teams taking interest in James Maddison.
The 22 year old attacking midfielder arrived from Norwich City in the last summer and has had an instant impact at Leicester City. The attacking midfielder is having a superb season and has already racked up seven goals and six assists in the Premier League.
Maddison’s exemplary form has seen him being linked with a number of clubs. He flourished under the guidance of Claude Puel at the King Power Stadium but the French manager was sacked following a run of poor results.
The arrival of former Liverpool manager Rodgers hasn’t affected Maddison’s game time and the player has been pretty regular in the Foxes starting lineup.
Rodgers said, “When they’re top talents, they’ll always create attention around them, but he’s very happy here.
“It’s his first season in the Premier League.
“He’s been on a great journey as a young player, he’s now arrived at a fantastic club where the way we work and the style in which we play will suit his game and his qualities.
“He will want to gain more experience in this league. He’s a fantastic talent, he works very, very hard at his game, has a very good idea of football, but works very, very hard.
“He’s been a joy to work with since I’ve come and there are still a lot of improvements he will make.”
