Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, has pulled out of the deal which would see Divock Origi return to the club earlier than anticipated.

The Belgium international is currently on a season-long loan to French side, Lille, but it was reported that his parent club could terminate the deal and bring him back early due to their striker woes.

However, according to reports, Rodgers has decided against bringing the striker back as he is happy with what he currently has, especially with Daniel Sturridge set to return from injury.

Lille and Liverpool had been in talks way before January’s transfer window opened up and a deal was agreed and a fee had been accepted between the two parties, but it now looks like Origi will remain in France until the end of the season as planned.
