Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes should be stripped off captaincy.
The Portuguese midfielder was given the armband at the start of this season after manager Erik ten Hag stripped Harry Maguire of that role.
The Red Devils were destroyed 3-0 by rivals Manchester City in the Manchester derby over the weekend.
Fernandes’ leadership qualities has been called into question several times because of his body language and treatment of his teammates.
Club legend Roy Keane has told the manager to take the armband off the 29-year-old and give it to someone mature.
Without a doubt, Fernandes is one of the most vocal captains in the Premier League.
Keane told Sky Sports: “Today having watched him again I would take the captaincy off him 100 per cent. I know it’s a big decision, obviously they changed the captaincy with Maguire, but Fernandes is not captain material.”
“He is a talented player no doubt about it. But what I saw today – we’ve discussed many times before, it was last season at Liverpool – his whinging, his moaning and throwing his arms up in the air constantly.”
