Cavani admits talks needed with PSG

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani could be on his way to the Premier League after he admitted that he has a decision to make in the Summer.

The Uruguayan has voiced his displeasure with how Laurent Blanc runs the club and is also furious at being used as a left-winger rather than an out-and-out striker, a role which is currently being filled by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Cavani, who completed his mega-move from Napoli last Summer, could already be prepared to leave France and the Premier League is a likely option for the 27-year-old with both Chelsea and Manchester United interested in signing him.

Speaking in a recent interview, Cavani admitted that he needs to hold clear-the-air talks with the club before making any decision regarding his future.

‘We’ll see at the end of the season. We have to finish the season first,’ he told L’Equipe.

‘I am in Paris, but there are certainly things we must talk about with the club, things should be done differently.’

‘Chelsea were interested,’ he added. ‘But the only thing that matters in the transfer window is spending money, just like Palermo did in 2009, Napoli in 2011 and PSG did last summer.

‘I do not know (if my agent has met with United and Chelsea). If something should happen, it’s my brother who will do it and will be at the table with interested parties.’
