Leicester have rejected a ÂŁ38m bid from Tianjin Quanjan for Islam Slimani.

Leicester have no interest in selling the striker, who only joined on Deadline Day last August, despite a recent big bid of 38m from China.

Reports are suggesting that it would take an incredible bid from the Chinese outfit Tianjin Quanjan, for the champions to even consider allowing Slimani to leave the club.

The Chinese Super League club, who have been flexing their muscles around several Premier League players including West Ham’s Dimitri Payet, are reportedly prepared to pay Slimani ÂŁ300,000-per-week.

He has been on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations since January 2, but will return to Leicester this week following his country’s group stage exit from the competition.

Since arriving from Lisbon, Slimani has scored six goals in 16 appearances for the current champions, and has impressed fans despite Leicester’s tough season so far.

If the champions do resist another bid from China, it is likely they will move on to a new target, with Chelsea’s Diego Costa, West Ham’s Dimitri Payet and others having already been crossed off of the Chinese wishlist.
