Conte is keen to work with Pogba once again
Chelsea are in talks over the £80 million transfer of Paul Pogba to Stamford Bridge, with Real Madrid also interested in the Juventus midfielder.
It is no secret that the Blues are interested in the France international, after taking Serie A and the Champions League by storm since leaving Manchester United for the Old Lady back in 2012.
And that hasn’t stopped the Red Devils coming back for the man who was allowed to leave for Italy on a free, either, after failing to agree a new deal at Old Trafford – having been unable to cement himself in, then manager, Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans.
However, it is understood Chelsea have been in regular contact with the player’s agent, regarding a move to the Premier League with the 2014/15 champions, and that the 23-year-old quietly admits it’s time for him to leave Juventus.
Conte is keen to reunite with the player that worked under him, before he left for the role of Italy boss, but a stumbling block could be the Italian outfit’s transfer demands and that Real Madrid are also after the Frenchman.
But while the Blue’s new Italian boss has made Pogba his priority in the transfer market, former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen for him to return to United, after being appointed Red Devils boss during the week.
