Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. Reports coming from France are indicating that both Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are currently in advanced talks over a possible deal.
The 25-year old only moved to Germany last summer and in his debut season he managed to bag 13 goals in 21 Bundesliga starts. That fine form has drawn interest from Jose Mourinho, who is desperate to sign a new striker this summer.
Chelsea are currently without a lot of firepower. Eto’o has moved on after his 12 month deal expired, while Torres and Ba aren’t favoured by Mourinho and both could be on their way out of the club. They are close to the signing of Diego Costa and a deal is expected to be completed soon, while France Football are reporting that Aubameyang, another forward, could soon be joining him.
The Blues boss wants to overhaul the strikeforce at Chelsea and wioth Ba, Eto’o and even Torres possibly on their way out and Costa and Aubemeyang set to arrive, it’s looking like a huge summer of change at Stamford Bridge.
