Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Bayern Munich forward Xherdan Shaqiri.
The 22 year old striker has had a superb World Cup in Brazil with Switzerland, and scored a hattrick in their recent 3-0 win over Ecuador.
The deal itself is rumoured to be around the £15 million mark, and following Shaqiri’s superb campaign in Bazil, the Reds are looking to tie up a deal for the Swiss player swiftlt.
Brendan Rodgers met with Shaqiri, alongside his agent and brother, Erdin, last month to discuss the move to Anfield.
Shaqiri is keen to quit Bayern, having failed to establish himself in Pep Guardiola’s first team.
The deal could also be eased if Luis Suarez leaves Anfield, following his biting incident.
