Negotiations between Chelsea and AC Milan have reportedly begun over Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. Apparently, Chelsea’s asking price for the 25-year old is £62 million according to reports from Sky Italy.

The reports also suggest that Milan’s sporting director Leonardo has been in talks with Morata and the Spaniard is interested to return to Italy. However, the talks haven’t begun very well as Milan may not agree to pay Chelsea the asking amount for Morata. Hence, the Rossoneri might go back in attempting to acquire Gonzalo Higuain. Milan and Juventus have been in talks of making a swap involving Higuain and Leonardo Bonucci.

Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid last summer for £57 million. He was brought to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Diego Costa. However, the Spaniard had a poor season with The Blues as he scored just 11 goals in 31 league matches for Chelsea.

Earlier, there were also reports claiming that Chelsea were in talks with Juventus about a swap involving Morata and Higuain.
