Chelsea are set to battle it out with Manchester United for the signing of world superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The current world’s best has been tipped to leave Real Madrid as early as January, with Manchester United being the clear favourites to re-sign the forward.
But now, it appears that United will not be alone in their attempts to capture Ronaldo, with Chelsea now emerging as shock contenders to seal a deal that will bring the star to Stamford Bridge.
After forming a close bond with the player, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to lure Ronaldo to Chelsea and see off any competition from the Red Devils.
Despite the interest from the Stamford Bridge club, a reunion with the Red Devils seems more likely after Ronaldo sensationally exclaimed: “I love Manchester.
“Everyone knows that – I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”
