Blues could add new striker to squad after slow star
Chelsea could make a late transfer bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain following their slow start to the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign.
The Blues have only picked up one point from two games following a draw at home to Swansea City, and yesterday’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho has already signed Radamel Falcao on loan from AS Monaco, but with just Diego Costa, Falcao and Loic Remy at the club, the manager may add a further option.
The Special One is not happy with the club’s transfer activity so far this summer, with just three new players arriving, and he’s reportedly told officials at Stamford Bridge to big bid for Higuain.
Napoli’s Demands
The Serie A side have already told interested parties that they won’t be selling the striker unless his release clause is activated, which is around £69million.
Arsenal and Manchester United were linked with a move for the Argentine, but they then withdrew their interest following the Italian side’s demands.
