According to various sources, Chelsea have made and been successful with a late bid for Barcelona star Pedro.

The Spanish International was odds on favourite to seal a move to Manchester United. Sky Sports reported late last night that Pedro had agreed personal terms with the Red Devils and that the two clubs were close to reaching an agreement on a the transfer fee.

However, Breathe Chelsea report that Roman Abramovic has personally sanctioned the move after Chelsea’s poor start to the current campaign in which they have only picked up one point out of a possible six.

Both SkyBet and BetVictor have slashed their odds in recent hours which is a strong indication that this news holds some weight. Especially with BetVictor who are Chelsea FC’s official betting partner. The two have now put Chelsea on par with Man U at 10/11.

This is a strong indication that both clubs have had an offer accepted and that it is now down to player to choose between the two Premier League giants.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also said to be increasing their bid for Everton centre back John Stones. The Toffees, who rejected a ÂŁ30million bid from Chelsea yesterday, are set to have their resolve tested one more time as the Londoners prepare to table a ÂŁ40million bid.
