Chelsea are set to step-up their interest in Atletico Madrid defender Joao Miranda, making him potentially the FOURTH player they sign from the La Liga champions.
The Blues have already signed striker Diego Costa from Diego Simeone’s men, and they look set to announce deals for Filipe Luis and Tiago, but it appears they are not done there as they now look set to make an offer for Miranda.
Jose Mourinho is on the look out for a new centre-back after selling David Luiz to French champions Paris Saint-Germain for a whopping £50million, and it’s apparent that the Atletico centre-back is his number-one option.
The 29-year-old Brazilian was crucial for Atletico last season and Simeone will not want to lose him, especially with fears that he’s already losing three stars to the English side.
