Blues prepared to pay £30million for Everton centre-back
Chelsea are showing interest in Everton centre-back John Stones and could be prepared to part ways with £30million.
The Toffees centre-back is highly-rated in the Premier League after breaking through at Goodison Park over the past two seasons and Chelsea are now showing interest in the 20-year-old.
Stones’ Development
Stones has made 40 appearances since making his move from Barnsley back in 2013, and after arriving for £3m, he has developed into a strong centre-back and is already pushing for an England call-up.
According to reports, Chelsea are also interested in Stones’ team-mate Seamus Coleman and have been linked with a £20m move for the Irishman.
John Terry Replacement?
However, with John Terry aging, Jose Mourinho is reportedly in the market for a new centre-back for the future and he sees Stones as a perfect signing.
The centre-back currently has three years left on his deal in Merseyside, but it’s believed Chelsea are prepared to offer Everton £30m in order to convince them to sell this Summer.
