Chelsea are leading the race to sign Sergio Busquets from Barcelona. Arsenal and Man United are also interested but it’s the Blues who are closest to securing his signature.
Jose Mourinho is currently on the lookout for another midfielder to ease the pressure on Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic and he has identified Busquets as the man to do so.
The Spaniard is also wanted by a host of other teams from Arsenal and Man United in the Premier League to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and PSG in Ligue 1.
Barcelona are keen to tie him down to a new deal but it is believed that the midfielder has lost confidence in Luis Enrique’s vision for the club and he is looking at all his potential options and could make the move away from the Nou Camp as soon as January.
